Moose’s ‘Reverse Graffiti’
Moose is not your typical graffiti/street artist. His backpack isn’t filled with cans of Krylon spray-paint, fat and thin caps, and a spray mask. Instead, you may find sand paper, shoe brushes, and old socks or underwear. Underwear? And what on God’s green earth is an old sock good for other than collecting dirt?
Apparently, that is exactly what it’s good for, according to British artist/activist Paul “Moose” Curtis who has single-handedly flipped the graffiti world on its head for over a decade now and challenged the police and local governments to build a legitimate case against his cleaning of dirt and filth in cities like San Francisco.
